The Jaguar XK150 was introduced in May 1957 in Fixed Head Coupe and Drophead Coupe form replacing the XK140 range. All cars used the XK140 chassis but this time the bodywork was of a much more modern appearance and for the first time featured a one piece curved windscreen. Inside the vehicle the walnut veneer on the dashboard and door cappings had been replaced with padded leather trim. Mechanically one of the main changes to the XK150 were the Dunlop disc brakes instead of drum brakes which were used both front and rear.
ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC EXAMPLE
This unique example of Jaguar XK 150 Fixed Head Coupé is since a long time in Holland.
The car was completely body-off restored and rally prepared in Holland at 1 of the best restoration companies we know. The company we speak about is called Satink restorations from Hengelo. A company which is very well known because of their extreme high quality and punctuality.
A company who is specialized in restoration but also in rally preparation in the higher segment.
The order of the owner of this Jaguar XK was simple. Satink had to built an extremely reliable and perfect Jaguar XK 150 Fixed Head Coupe which can be used for the serious rally work.
The trip where this Jaguar was built for was almost 14.000 kilometers and the car should be driven on all type of roads so it had to be as reliable as possible.
One can understand that the preparation of such a car is time consuming and cost an enormous amount of money but money was absolutely not an issue and therefore we have absolutely never seen such an amazing prepared car.
Later in this story you will find an overview of just a couple of examples of this cars upgrades.
The comfort in the car was extremely important and therefore the car is amongst other details fitted with superb seats from the German Hagen Kruse (himself an enthusiastic participant of all kinds of rides and rallies and therefore he know what he is talking about).
Furthermore the entire car is extreme prepared with a parking heater, fine electric power steering and a smoothly switching 5 speed G-trac gearbox.
After some large and serious trips the Jaguar was again fully checked by Satink. Many hours were invested to bring the car in just as beautiful and technically brought to the same level as before the long journeys.
2 of the most significant options on this car we would like to mention being an extra electricity system in case of a failure in the 1st. electricity system and a parking heather with which the car interior as well as the engine can be warmed.

Nobody believes that this car drove around 18.000 serious kilometers on all type of roads.
Just because after the big trips this car has been optically and technically fully checked and updated. The former owner wanted to have the car in the same condition after the rally as he received it when it was just finished.
The restoration company succeeded. The car is in a unique condition both optically as technically.
The chrome is superb even as the paint. The doorfittings are excellent and the wheels seems to be all new.
The special made winter tires with spikes have never been used.
If one looks at the car it can’t be seen that she drove serious trips.
During the restoration, the former owner choose for a cognac interior which combines absolutely fantastic with the exterior.
The interior has been made around the driver and the co-driver and is complete with all possible facilities one can think of.
But the interior needs an extra note. As with the entire car, the interior has been completely tailor made on an extreme way. All buttons and knobs which are installed extra are perfectly surrounded with nice leather pieces etc. etc.
The interior is finished with comfort bucket seats with headrest from the German specialist Hagen Kruse, a custom-made center console, storage space behind the seats with fire extinguisher / flashlight etc.
Roll bar, wooden Moto-Lita steering wheel, 2 x card reading lights, passenger’s footrest, classic radio with navigation, 4-point seat belts and 3-point seat belts.
This is an absolute dream car. A car which is built without looking at expenses by 1 of the best companies who can do such a preparation.
The car is not only a functional but also an extremely beautiful car.
